Mother's Day

Already thinking and working on Mother's Day!!
Every day we should tell our moms how much we love them, how much they help us, how necessary they are in our lives.
I do!! I do it everyday... I kiss her any chance I have, I hug her when I am close to her and... I miss her when I am far from her... moreover when is nearly one year without seeing her... :(
So... Let's let them know!! At least, once a year, in their special day... MOTHER'S DAY.
Here you have an activity I am doing in the classroom with my students. I am doing it in Spanish but you can also find it in English in my tpt store.
They can pick up a flower from the pot to let the children know how they can help at home...
Look at the kiddos how well they work!

 Hoy quería compartir una página web que te prepara una sopa de letras ella solita, tan solo debes escribir las palabras que quieres que aparezcan en ella. IV Intercambio Navideño

  ¡Volvemos con el IV Intercambio Navideño entre clases españolas! Este año adelantamos las fechas bastante para que haya tiempo para cuarentenas de cartas y de personas :P .  ¿En qué consiste el intercambio? FALLAS PROJECT... Celebration in Valencia (Spain) brought to UTAH!!

We have been busy working on this project... Fallas is a traditional celebration held in commemoration of St. Joseph in Valencia, Spain. It is celebrated from the 15th to the 19th of March every year. The term "Fallas" or in our local language "Falles" refers to both the celebration and the monuments created to be exposed and finally burned during this celebration. There are a lot of traditions that I wanted to share with my first graders but I just shared the most important ones... In the school we started searching about it and watching and printing photos of the most important customs and we did a big poster with pictures showing great moments. We colored one typical dress and we glued a photo of our face on it... So cute! After that we made "petardos" (Firecrackers) and we hanged them around the classroom. Of course we did our monument, our falla, on a paper and we added some tissue paper to simulate they were on fire!!
